You'll learn how to teach theory, evaluate student performance and exams, along with preparing them for their careers.
A Day at Impressions Academy
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: The basic curriculum is presented in two ways: Theory and Practical.
THEORY - pertains to lecturing and class participation with textbooks and audio visual aids.
PRACTICAL - correlating the theory that has been taught to develop skills. Practical application is performed on patrons and mannequins.
Segment 1
In the first segment you will learn the basics of the course you are enrolled in. You will be issued a book, notebook, pen, locker and an apron. If you need anything else during this segment, we will provide it for you to use. The last 20 hours of this segment, you will be given your grade out bag.
Segment 2
In the second segment, along with continuing book work, you will be introduced to hands-on learning and assisting. You will receive your kit and have everything you will need to succeed at Impressions Academy.
Segment 3
In the third and final segment, you will be brought onto the clinic floor and given a station. There, you will work on clients and learn what it is like to be a stylist in a hair salon/ barbershop.

Everyone participates in Theory the first 2 hours of school

Assisting along side the clinic floor after completing first 100 hours of segment 2

Last 6 weeks of course (option: you may go back to segment 2 for a refresh)
